General Tips:
- The main entrance to the house should be towards the East – it is the best.
- The North direction signifies prosperity; hence it should not be blocked in any way.
- Make sure to never grow a Cactus plant in the house.
- Hinges on doors should work smoothly and should not make noise.
- If the house has a slope, it should be from South to North or West to East only.
- Paintings or pictures that depict violence or sorrow should best be avoided.
Kitchen:
- The kitchen should be located in the Southeast or Northwest corner of the house.
- All cooking should be done while facing the East or North.
- South, West, Southeast and Northwest are ideal locations to place the refrigerator.
- Kitchen appliances should be kept in the Southeast corner.
- Make sure the kitchen is well equipped for good cross-ventilation.
Bathroom:
- Bathrooms should be constructed in the Northwest direction.
- Make sure the bathrooms have sufficient ventilation and natural light.
- Bathroom fittings must be of good quality & should work smoothly over the years.
- Always keep the bath and toilet areas clean.
Bedrooms:
- The master bedroom in the house should always be in the Southwest direction.
- One should always sleep with their head towards the South.
- Make sure the bed is not placed directly below a beam.
- Bedrooms should be absolutely clutter free, especially the area one sleeps.
Children’s Room:
- Children’s rooms should be constructed in the Northwest corner of the house.
- Avoid sticking furniture to the wall as it blocks the flow of positive energy.
- The colour scheme in a kid’s room should be mild yet cheerful.
- The study table should be placed in a way that the child faces the East, North or Northeastern corner of the room while studying & the computer should be kept in the Southwest corner.
Living Room:
- The living room should always be in the North direction.
- ACs should be placed in the West & Southeast direction should be avoided.
- The chairs of dining tables must be even numbered.
- The South and West corners of the room are ideal for keeping furniture. Vaastu is not just applicable for Homes, it is also considered when buying an Office.
1. Best are East-facing offices.
2. The Head or Owner of the Company should face North while working.
3. Don’t opt for irregular shaped offices. Square & Rectangle shaped offices arebest.
4. Managers must sit in the Western & Southern corners to face North & East.
5. Northern sides & Eastern sides are best suited for executives & office staff.
6. Water resource should be kept in Northeastern corner.
7. Toilets should not be present in East, Northeast or Southeast.
8. Pantry must be made in Southeast.
9. Office waiting rooms can be made in the Northeast or Northwest.
10. Avoid staircases in the center of the Office.
11. Reception should be placed in the Northeast.
12. Office persons must not be sitting under a beam & working.
13. Office colors must be pleasant & vibrant.
14. Pictures depicting violence / sorrow must not be hung in the Office
